The stories of this fort are many, but which one is true is also a mystery. But according to one of these beliefs, this fort was named after the Tuglaq dynasty Sufi saint Bhi Ali-Bakthiyari but people twisted its name and renamed it to Bhuli bhatiyari ka mahal. According to the second belief, a woman of the Bhatiyari caste of Rajasthan, whose name was Bhuri, lost her road and started living in this fort, due to this, it was named Bhuli Bhatiyari Ka Mahal.

According to the third story, after the Tuglaq dynasty, a king made this place his hunting ground. That king loved his queen very much but one day he found that his queen is cheating on him then he detained his queen to die in this fort. It is said that the queen’s spirit roams here to take revenge. Many horror stories related to this fort are heard among the people.

It is said that a person slept in this fort he told in the morning that a woman had pulled his ears and hair at night. According to another story, some people went to visit this palace, wandering in the palace, they all went towards the forest. In the forest, they saw a white wall, then they took a photo of that wall but the picture of that wall did not come in the camera.

After this they rushed back to the fort and told this incident to their friend, then everyone went back to the forest to see that wall. But then the wall got disappeared. It is said that some people have heard the sounds of crying and screaming from here and they have experienced some strange scary acts in the air here.

To say that this fort falls towards one of the most crowded areas of Delhi, but this place is so secluded that no one comes here quickly. This place is strictly guarded by the police and at exactly five o’clock the police inspects the place that no one is left inside. After that the road leading to this fort is closed with a barricator and no one will allowed after 5’o’ clock.

Ghost stories associated with this fort are so famous that no person is allowed to go here after evening. There is also a board on the way coming towards this fort where it is forbidden to stop here after evening.
